Hi, I’m Carlotta.

I created Peace Love Jesus out of my own search for peace—peace within myself and hope for peace in the world. I wanted to understand what it means to truly love ourselves, love one another. After overcoming many hardships while longing for a life with meaning, I discovered that for me, it all comes back to Jesus. Here, I write about building a relationship with God and what following Jesus actually looks like in the middle of real life. There is hope, there is healing, there is peace and love. I’m living proof.

Who I am..

I’m a pastor, chaplain, wife, mom, and someone who has learned that God really does redeem all things.

My faith has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but that doesn’t mean my life has always been easy or that I have always understood what God was doing. I have walked through painful seasons, unexpected changes, loss, disappointment, and plenty of times when life looked very different from what I had planned. Through all of it, I have learned that God is faithful—even when we can’t yet see what He is doing.

I want this to be a place where we can talk honestly about following Jesus in real life—faith, relationships, disappointment, purpose, grief, growth, and the sometimes messy process of becoming who God is calling us to be. I love digging into Scripture and finding ways to connect what it teaches us with the things we are actually facing.

I hold a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and am a credentialed pastor with the Assemblies of God. I also serve as a hospital chaplain in a Level I Trauma Center, where I have the privilege of walking alongside people and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives. That work has taught me even more about the importance of presence, hope, grace, and making room for the questions that don’t have easy answers.

Before ministry, I spent more than 20 years in business and organizational leadership. I also have an MBA in Finance—which may seem like an unusual path to becoming a pastor, but I have learned that God doesn’t waste our experiences. He has used every part of my story to shape how I lead, teach, care for people, and understand my calling.

I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t think faith requires us to pretend that we do. What I do believe is that Jesus meets us right where we are, that Scripture still speaks into our lives, and that our stories are never beyond God’s ability to redeem.

That is what Peace Love Jesus is about.

Real life. Real faith. And the hope we have in Jesus.
