acrobat

A spinning mind, cartwheels, moving, twisting, pivoting, flexible, and busy. Unable to calm the acrobat. The twisting is involuntary, it’s all that I know how to do. I am tired but keep twisting, it is how I move. What would it be to stand still, to move in a different way, or not at all?…

A spinning mind, cartwheels, moving, twisting, pivoting, flexible, and busy. Unable to calm the acrobat. The twisting is involuntary, it’s all that I know how to do. I am tired but keep twisting, it is how I move.

What would it be to stand still, to move in a different way, or not at all? To stop, lay, surrender, restlessness removed, healed, calmed.

The dance no longer serves me. It is a distraction, a lie, an illusion created so that I can not feel sad, scared, weak, or vulnerable.

God says “STOP. Strength isn’t in the dance.” God says, “It is the bubble of me I have created around you, with my love, provision, grace, and mercy. Let me in, so you can be embraced by it, not contained by it.”
